User Agreement

Welcome to Hanzi Learn (the "App"). Before using the App, please read and fully understand all terms of this Agreement carefully. By registering an account, downloading or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

• You confirm that at the time of registration you have reached the age required by the laws of your country or region to independently enter into a contract (generally no less than 13, or 16 in the EU), or that you have obtained the consent of your guardian;
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your account and password safe;
• Each individual may register and hold only one primary account; please do not transfer, lend or sell your account to others;
• If you find your account has been compromised or shows unusual activity, please contact support immediately.

When using the App, you agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Publish or disseminate illegal, violent, harassing, discriminatory or infringing content;
• Reverse engineer, decompile or crack the App, or attempt to interfere with its normal operation;
• Abuse invitations, inflate metrics, or engage in other conduct that undermines fairness;
• Infringe the intellectual property or other lawful rights of others.

If you violate these terms, we have the right to restrict, suspend or terminate your access to some or all of the services, and we shall not be liable for any resulting loss.

The App and its text, interface, design, trademarks and software code, as well as the arrangement and database of learning content, are the intellectual property of us or the respective rights holders (except for fair use permitted by laws and regulations).

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or its content.

• PRO membership is purchased via in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play; prices and billing periods are as shown on the purchase page;
• Subscriptions generally renew automatically; you can manage or cancel renewal in the account settings of the respective platform;
• After canceling renewal, you may continue to enjoy membership benefits for the remainder of the current paid period; it will not renew after it expires;
• Refunds and disputes are handled in accordance with the platform policies of Apple / Google; we do not provide refunds beyond the platform rules;
• Membership benefits are for your personal use only and may not be transferred or exchanged for cash.

The App offers both free and paid features. We reserve the right to adjust the scope of features, pricing and free quotas; material changes will be announced in advance in a reasonable manner.

Sign-in, payment, push notifications and similar capabilities are provided by third parties such as Apple and Google. When using these features, you must also comply with the relevant third parties' terms of service and privacy policies; the App is not responsible for the conduct of third-party services.

The App is provided "as is". We do our best to ensure its stability and security, but we make no express or implied warranty as to: uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free service, or the achievement of any particular learning outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

In no event shall we be liable for loss of anticipated profits, loss of data or other indirect damages arising from this Agreement or your use of the App; our aggregate liability shall be limited to the fees you actually paid in the preceding 12 months (or, if you have not paid, to the minimum amount permitted by law).

• You may delete your account at any time under "Settings → Account Security / Privacy Rights"; this Agreement terminates upon deletion;
• If you materially breach this Agreement, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account and services without notice;
• After termination, data related to your account will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the Account Deletion Agreement, and the license granted shall terminate.

If you believe that content in the App infringes your lawful rights, please submit a written notice using the contact details below; we will handle it in accordance with the law after verification.

The formation, validity, interpretation and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the applicable laws of your country or region. Disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to a court of competent jurisdiction.

If you are located in the EU, you also have the right to file a complaint with the consumer-protection dispute-resolution body in your place of habitual residence.

We may revise this Agreement from time to time. Revisions will be indicated in the App and this page and effective date will be updated. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
